Lexus SC / Toyota Soarer Flying Lion Wing Key

The 91-00 'Z30' Lexus SC / Toyota Soarer is finally being recognized as a JDM 'Classic' this year, and by all accounts it has OFFICIALLY entered the pantheon of JDM Legends! As more people realize that this chassis was the blueprint and starting point for the fabled JZA80 Supra's development, it's time to start treating this chassis and each build, with the proper respect it deserves - starting with a proper KEY!

Initially released as the Garage Alpha x Demiurge.jp Flying Lion Wing key - Osaka Designs picks up where that story left off.  The Flying Lion Wing Key design truly came to be through some sort of divine inspiration, and that initial visionary moment fit together almost too perfectly to have just been by chance... It was as if it was destiny, and right at the start, we knew it had to become a reality! All credit is due to the vision and creativity of @demiurge.jp. 🙇‍♂️

As true enthusiasts of this specific platform who have owned and built both Supra's, as well as Lexus SC's in the past, we knew we had to do things perfectly... For this particular project we first took a 3D scan of the actual JDM Soarer rear emblem, to isolate the rear wing in CAD. After many, many revisions of this iconic design, we distilled the essence of the Flying Lion wing, as well as the very distinct 'Lexus/Toyota' key blade design- into something truly special. We are genuinely ecstatic with the result, and hope you are as well. The final product seen here is nothing less than a timeless work of art, which embodies the true spirit of Soarer.

For this very limited run of keys, we are offering three finishes:

• Titanium - Grade 5 (Ti-6Al-4V) titanium, CNC'd and media blasted.
• Brass - Commercial grade brass, CNC'd and media blasted.
• Black PVD - Commercial grade brass, CNC'd, PVD coated gloss black and decked to reveal gold accents.

Additionally, we designed and manufactured an optional bespoke keychain specifically for this key that can hold a transponder (97+ requires them), or you could put a secret item of your choosing inside the case, for safe keeping! As well, the rope design offers a way to attach your key without metal marring from a typical key ring. Each key chain also includes Toyota, Lexus, Flying Lion Wing and Soarer emblems in both gold and silver (eight total), so matching your Flying Lion Wing Key to your specific SC/Soarer trim is guaranteed.

AS FOR CUTTING

Ti, Brass and Black PVD keys can be cut by any competent locksmith with the proper equipment. However, when cutting a titanium key it will be a good idea to ask the technician to be sure to inspect the key immediately after being cut, and remove any random tiny metal burrs or sharp edges with a dremel or filing tool, which is a very easy process.

[Be advised] It's up to your personal discretion if you want to mention the fact that this key is made of a special metal... Some locksmiths 'might' turn you away, if you do.

The key blade design is identical to a 92-00 OEM key, and this grade of titanium has been tested several times with aftermarket commercial Toyota/Lexus cutting machines, with no issue at all. So, cut with confidence, and enjoy!
