The Mazda RX-7 FD3S was PEAK performance from Mazda and arguably the entire Golden Era of 1990s Japanese Sports Cars. Everything on the RX-7 was built with serious consideration and attention to detail - even the brake and clutch pedals were drilled aluminum to save weight.
But for some reason, Mazda went to the parts bin when picking out an ignition key for this future legend. Consider it's contemporary, the Nissan 300ZX Twin Turbo. This vehicle got a beautiful titanium key that would raise an eyebrow from on lookers and plaster a smile on the face of drivers. Or the Acura NSX, which got a key made of a very unique alloy called Monel - which looked super lightweight - but was oddly substantial in the hand.
To rectify this injustice, we set out to manufacture a key worthy of the sports car the FD3S was and still is. Keeping with the spirit of the vehicle, we wanted to create something lightweight, sleek and beautiful. What we ended up with is a lightweight titanium key based on the Spirit-R key design, which pays homage to the design philosophy Mazda imbued the car with from the factory.
If you are ready to treat yourself and give your vehicle the dignity it deserves, the Osaka Designs Mazda RX-7 FD3S Spirit-R Titanium Key is the key for you.
